Programmed assembly of digitally encoded colloids

PHD CHEMISTRY, STARTING FALL 2019, BORDEAUX, FRANCE

This project finds its roots in a recent idea that reconfigurable colloids may be used to store information, opening the way to “wet computing”. Our first objective will consist in the programmed assembly of designed nanoparticles into digitally encoded colloids through the use of DNA origami templates. We will also focus on the study of the possibility to induce on demand the switching of the colloids between distinguishable states, which is the prerequisite to perform computations.
