In order to better control the release of encapsulated active species in the human body, some researchers from the Paul Pascal Research Center CRPP (CNRS/University of Bordeaux) and from the Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymères Organiques (CNRS/University of Bordeaux /INP) have synthesized new sub-micronic particles. They succeeded in releasing the core of the particles containing the active species by applying a magnetic field generating a hyperthermy phenomenon thanks to entrapped iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles. This work, patented by the SATT Aquitaine, has been published in the journal : Particle and Particle Systems Characterization.
